David Mitchell

David Mitchell brings over 25 years of experience in the custom capital equipment sector, specializing in the pharmaceutical, medical device, and healthcare industries. Starting his career in business development, he spent his first 15 years driving growth and building industry relationships. Later, he took on leadership roles, forming strategic initiatives, leading teams, and driving business success.

Prior to joining Esco, David led a $65 million life sciences segment for a publicly traded manufacturer of custom process equipment, overseeing operations, growth strategies, and performance results. He also played a key role in market expansion and revenue growth as the sales & marketing leader for a $120 million division within the same organization. With nearly 15 years of P&L responsibility, he’s developed deep expertise in financial management, operations, and strategic decision-making.

As Esco’s Head of the Healthcare Business Unit, David is focused on scaling Esco Healthcare’s global footprint, refining procedures, and implementing best practices to optimize team performance. He’s enhancing pre-sales, sales, and project management structures for seamless customer engagement and execution. Additionally, he’s introducing an operating system to track key initiative progress, keeping Esco agile and responsive in a dynamic industry.

David is committed to strengthening Esco’s position as a trusted partner to its customers, a responsible employer, and a valued community member. David holds a Master’s degree in Computer Information Sciences and a Bachelor’s degree in Finance from La Salle University in Philadelphia.
